Surrounded by his loving family, Lucio Padilla, age 80, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at Ridgewood Care Center. Lucio was born in Castroville, Texas, December 15, 1936, son of the late Narciso and Macedonia (Nee: Pedroza) Padilla.

On November 18, 1959 he was united in marriage to Cleotilde Rodriguez. Lucio was employed by the City of Racine for ten years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed working on cars, and was a huge Packer and Denver Bronco fan. More than anything Lucio adored and loved his wife, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Cleotilde; his children, Diana (Jeffrey) Clarke of Racine, Gloria (Domingo) Bernal Jr. of Racine, Ruben Padilla of Racine; his grandchildren, Domingo (Devon) Bernal III, Jessica (Kelley), Jacob, Ruben; his great-grandchildren, Savannah and Nevaeh; brothers and sisters, Victoriano P. (Elena) Padilla, Maria Ascension P. (Jesse) Arriaga, James P. Padilla, Pedro P. (Juanita C.) Padilla, Josephine Padilla, all of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Elma Padilla of San Antonio, TX; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Oscar Rodriguez; brothers and sisters, Pantaleon (Alicia) Padilla, Connie Ascension, Victoria P. Hall, Simon (Dora) Padilla, Inocencia P. (John) Pappas, Jacinto Padilla, and Isabel P. (Mariano) Reveles.

Private funeral services will be held with interment at West Lawn Memorial Park.

The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Robert Brown, Dr. Ali Khan and the entire staff at Ridgewood Care Center for all of their loving and compassionate care.
