Lois Joyce Kilby, age 83, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Racine, December 29, 1934, daughter of the late Henry and Marie (Nee: Herzog) Kammerait.

She was a graduate of Racine Lutheran High School “Class of 1952.” Lois was employed by Rainfair for thirty-two years and lastly by Curative Workshop for eleven years. She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. Lois enjoyed playing cards with her card club and summers spent in Wautoma at the cottage. Above all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Jean M. Kilby of Mt. Pleasant; her grandson, Tyler Rinta; former daughter-in-law, Lisa Balistreri (Thomas Svendsen); her great-grandson, Reed Rinta; brother, William (Elaine) Kammerait of Wautoma; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce (John) Rinta; brother, H.R. Bob (Joanne) Kammerait of FL; sister, Ruth (Eugene) Sonnen; loving companion, L. Kenneth Nelson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 20, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Zarling officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.

A very special thank you to the staff at Ascension All Saints for their loving and compassionate care. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Stu Brown, Scott (Laurie) Nelson and the entire Nelson family, Laurel Celeste and family, for their kindness, support, and love. An additional special thank you for Tuesdays with Pastor Zarling and Jane Strutz.
