Linda Opalewski

Linda grew up in the Kalamazoo area and graduated from Portage Central High School. She lived next to Austin Lake and enjoyed water skiing and even got a boat for her birthday one year. She loved anything outdoors including gardening, camping, or even just being outside soaking up the nature that surrounded her. She retired at Western Michigan University where she worked as a secretary. Linda also enjoyed cooking and baking, felting, sewing, and photography. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished every moment she had with them.

Linda was a very loving, caring, silly, and passionate woman who will forever be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.

Linda Opalewski of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on December 11, 2018 at the age of 67 surrounded by her family. Linda is survived by her daughters: Dora (Tod) Matheny and Janet (Joe) Krammin; brother: Phillip (Terry) Wood; and grandchildren: Addyson, Katie, and Rhys. Linda is preceded in death by her parents: Ronald and Vera Wood.
