Lillian Schoetzow

Lillian Schoetzow passed away May 12, 2013 peacefully at home with her family. She was born September 21, 1934 the daughter of Alexander and Mary (Gresik) Safin. She was employed at Lee Borgess Memorial Hospital for 34 ½ years where she received an award for Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year as a LPN and a RN. She loved working outside in the garden, fishing and playing golf. She was a member of Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church in Dowagiac. She is survived by two sons, David Schoetzow of Dowagiac and Doug (Jody) Schoetzow of Portage, MI; one brother Leonard Safin of Decatur, MI; two granddaughters, two grandsons, and two great grandsons. Her family will gather with friends on Thursday from 10 AM to 11 AM at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church where a Mass will begin at 11 AM. There will be a luncheon immediately after the Mass at the church; and then laid to rest at Lakeside Cemetery in Decatur. In lieu of flowers, she would appreciate that you show someone a random act of kindness.
