Leroy Burgess

Leroy Dana Burgess, age 78, of Marcellus, MI passed away April 4, 2017 at Bronson Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 28, 1938 in Hastings, Michigan to the late Dana and Helen (Clapper) Burgess. He is survived by his wife, of 43 years, Sharon (DeLeeuw), four children, Kenneth (Mary Jo) Burgess of Bradenton, Florida, Kathy Burgess of Cape Coral, Florida, Keith Burgess of Weeki Wachee, Florida and Eric (Melissa) Burgess of Valrico, Florida, five grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh) Bowen, Jacob Burgess, Ella Burgess, Dylan Burgess and Chloe Burgess, two great grandchildren, Patrick Bowen and Emillia Burgess, along with his brother, Roland (Doris) Burgess. Leroy began his career as a CPA with Kalamazoo Laundry, he then started working as a self-employed CPA and later retired as president from Crescent Metal Products in 1999. Leroy enjoyed fishing and golfing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending the winters in Florida. Cremation has taken place. Per Leroy's wishes there will be no services. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
