Lena Westrate, age 92 of Grand Rapids, passed away on January 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony" Westrate; grandson, Evan Westrate; sister, Pauline Van Dyke; and brother, William Schol. She is survived by her children Tom and Karen Westrate, Don and Pat Westrate, Steve and Jana Westrate; grandchildren Alysann, Nicole, Jennifer, Meleah (Brent) Gibson, Jacob (Leanne), Anna, Jordan (Kelly), Mattie Westrate; great grandson Beckett Gibson; sister, Mary Kermeen; sister-in-law Gertrude Westrate and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 1 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home - Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield Ave NE with Dr. Joel Beeke officiating.
