Lawrence “Larry” A. Norton, age 75, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Burlington, WI, October 19, 1942, son of the late Harold and Eleanor (Nee: Toth) Norton.

He proudly served in the United States Army. On July 19, 1969 he was united in marriage to Carol A. Sheedy. Larry was employed by Western Publishing and later at Warren Industries, retiring in 2006. He was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was involved with Marriage Encounter with his wife for 25 years. He loved his Green Bay Packers. He was a passionate golfer and loved playing tennis and dartball. Larry enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. Always an organizer, he was known for planning and bringing family and friends together around events and celebrations. Above all, he loved and devoted his life to his family and cherished time spent with them. Being a grandfather, “Papa” brought him such joy.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Carol; his children, Brett (Kelsey) Norton of Takoma Park, MD, Kelly (Steve) Sullivan of Menomonie Falls, WI; his three grandchildren, Evelyn Norton, Landon and Parker Sullivan; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Scott David Norton; and sister, Mary (Rodney) Winslow.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 17, 2018, 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1100 Erie Street, with Rev. Antony Thomas officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and Thursday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 10:30 A.M. Private interment will be held. Memorials to John XXIII Educational Center have been suggested.
