Lawrence Edward Allen

Mr. Lawrence Edward Allen, 52, of Ceresco, MI, formerly of Battle Creek, died Saturday, October 21, 2006 at his home.

He was born October 18, 1954 in Battle Creek, MI the son of Charles Edward Allen and Waunettia (Gebert) Allen. He served in the Army from 1973 to 1976. He worked as a truck driver for Behnke Inc. and recently at Hi-Lex Corp.

Lawrence is survived by daughter: Leslie L. (Joshua) Throckmorton, Ft. Carson, CO; son: Jonathon C. Allen, Battle Creek; grandaughters: Kylie and Abigail Throckmorton; sisters: Betty Jackson, North Carolina, Patty Conklin, Pennsalvania and Becky Ingram, Ohio; brother: Jeff Allen, Missouri; former wife: Janet M. Allen, Battle Creek; uncle: C.B. Allen, Battle Creek; and aunt: Evelyn Stitch, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, and his Fiance: Mary Brownell.

He loved cars and wood working. He was a former member of the American Legion and recently joined the NHRA.

Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Sunday 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Monday 1:00 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Pastor Donald H. Wilkins of the First Nazarene Church officiating.

Burial will be at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
