LaVae Mendham

LaVae May Mendham, 95, of Portage, passed away November 20, 2018. She was born January 26, 1923 in Paw Paw, Michigan to the late Frank and Daisy Chase. LaVae enjoyed bowling and fishing and even dabbled in hunting. She also loved to travel, reaching 48 of the 50 United States, as well as Canada and Mexico. She is survived by her son, Philip Mendham, of Portage; daughter Judy Warner, of Escanaba; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Mabel Heckleman, of Oshtemo. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 1st at 11am with visitation one hour prior from 10-11am, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave., Portage, MI 49002. Interment will immediately follow in Portage South Cemetery.
