Parrish, Larry L. Otsego, MI Larry passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Otsego. Larry and his twin brother Garry were born June 8, 1946 in Plainwell to James and Naomi (Punches) Parrish. He was a 1964 Otsego High School graduate and lifelong resident of the area. Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He began working at Harding's Market in 1962 and continued there for more than 47 years until his retirement in 2009. In his free time Larry enjoyed attending races, spending time with his friends and family and going to his grandchildren's events. Larry joined First Baptist Church of Otsego in 1969 and was an active member on the church board, Sunday school and Awana teacher and with the bus ministry. On June 10, 1967 at the First Baptist Church of Otsego he married Jacqueline Stuck who survives. Also surviving are his children, Wendy (Jim) Gauthier of Plainwell, Larry Jr. (Wendy) Parrish of Roswell, NM and Jay (Shannon) Parrish of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Jordan Parrish of NM, Karlee and Tyler Gauthier of Plainwell and Jayce Parrish of NC; siblings, Bob (Nancy) Parrish, Jack (Judy) Parrish and his twin brother, Garry (Terri) Parrish; brother-in-law, Jim Ellinger and sister-in-law, Barb Parrish and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law and siblings, Jean Ellinger and Jim Parrish. Friends may meet with Larry's family from 6-8 P.M., Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Otsego with Pastor Paul Laborde officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego. Military Honors by Otsego VFW Post #3030.
