Larry "Big Lar" Drenth

Larry D. "Big Lar" Drenth, age 63, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Tuesday morning, January 23, 2018. He was born October 29, 1954 in Kalamazoo, to Carl and Georgia (Garski) Drenth. Big Lar was united in marriage to Sherry Clark on August 2, 1980. Big Lar was employed with Balkema Excavating for 40 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a handyman for everything and was known to be able to make or fix anything. Big Lar enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid Detroit Lions and University of Miami Hurricanes football fan. Big Lar leaves behind his wife, Sherry Drenth; children, Jacob (Amy) Drenth and Sabrina (Petar) Radenovic; proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Sydney, Easton, Kosta and Dakota; mother, Georgia Drenth; brother, Gary Drenth; and niece, April (Greg) Kearney. He was preceded in death by his father; and sister, Teri Baimbridge. A celebration of Big Lar's life will take place on Saturday, January 27th, 3:00pm at Bucky's Caf, 8675 Portage Rd.
