King Charles White of Kalamazoo, MI, Age 71, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, after a short illness. King was born in Kalamazoo on March 25, 1946 the son of Robert and Inez White. He suffered the loss of his parents at a young age. He will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man, with a heart of gold and a gift for serving others. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1972. He was a hard and dedicated worker who retired from Upjohn (Pfizer) after 31 years. When not working, King stayed active. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, camping and traveling. Above all King loved his family and was always there for them. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. He leaves his family and friends with many wonderful memories to cherish. On March 17, 1967, he married Suzanne (Robinson) White who survives. They enjoyed fifty years of love together. He is also survived by two daughters, Shawn Tyler and Jennifer (Richard) Kroll; three grandchildren, Jacob Tyler, Ava and Isabelle Kroll; two step-grandsons, Wesley and Denver Kroll; several special nieces and a nephew. He was also preceded in passing by a sister, Jill Dunning. In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018, beginning at 11:00 AM, at First United Methodist Church, 212 S Park St W, Kalamazoo, MI 49007, with Rev.
