Kimberly Kline

Kimberly Ann "Kimmy" Kline, age 50, of Portage, MI passed away September 2, 2017 in Kalamazoo. Kimmy was born September 6, 1966, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Dale and Marilynn (Gregory) Kline. She has been a lifelong area resident and graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. Throughout the years, she had frequently volunteered with Goodwill, Second Impression Stores and with many other community organizations. Kimmy had many passions, including shopping, jewelry, Marilyn Monroe memorabilia and eating and shopping at Cracker Barrel. She was preceded in death by her father in 2001 and her mother earlier this year; by her grandparents and her uncle Richard Gregory. Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law Lori and Eric Vorpi; nieces Erica Vorpi and Callen Vorpi; nephew Jacob (Cody) Vorpi; great nephew Dean James Vorpi; aunt Sharon Gregory; cousins Jason and Darrick; and her extra special friend and caregiver "Uncle" Terry Carosella. The family wishes to thank Kalamazoo County Community Mental Health and WMU Center for Disability Services for all the support they have given Kimmy and her family. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 1:00PM on Thursday, September 7th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., where a service to celebrate Kimmy's life will begin at 1:00PM Thursday, September 7th. Interment will follow Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials in Kimmy's memory may be directed to WMU Center for Disability Services.
