Kenneth Kiernan

Kiernan, Mr. Kenneth J. Portage, MI Died Wednesday evening March 15, 2017. Kenneth was born February 19, 1958 in Middletown, New York a son of John Robert Kiernan and Joan Marie (O'Brien) Kiernan. Years ago, he served honorably with the U.S. Army. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident for over 20 years and was employed with Pfizer the past 16 years. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two children, Kanyon Kiernan and Dakota Kiernan both of Watervliet, MI; a grandson, Jayden Kiernan-Norton; his significant companion, Linda Gooding of Marcellus; 2 sisters, Pat Ballard of Kingston, NY and Diane Sharp of Port Charlotte, FL; a brother, Timothy "Timmy" (Gigi) Kiernan of Stephens City, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 10 o'clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Visitation will be 4-8pm Monday at the chapel. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Heart Fund or to West Michigan Cancer Center.
