Age 50, passed away early March 26, 2018 with family at his side. Ken was born August 26, 1967 in Nelsonville, Ohio, the son of Richard and Jean (Meyer) Goodwin. Ken was a member of the Columbia and Mattawan Township Fire Departments for over 12 years all together. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and racecar driving. Ken enjoyed being around children; he had such a way with them. He coached several children's sports and attended several of his nieces and nephews sporting events. Ken was a jack of all trades and master of all. Anything he put his mind to he could make or fix. But most of all he loved his children and enjoyed spending time with them; especially dancing with his daughter, Brandy (or so he thought he could dance). His family said "Ken was a selfless person; he would do anything for people before considering himself". He touched a lot of peoples lives and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Ken is survived by his loving children; Brandy (Craig Herweyer) Bryce and Brayden Goodwin, significant other and love of his life; Kathy Weissmann, his mother; Jean Goodwin, brothers; Kraig (Jamie) and Kollin (Jenny) Goodwin, nieces and nephews; Kayne, Kyle, Allison, Kory, Landon, and Leigha and mother of his children; Amy Goodwin. Ken was preceded in death by his father; Richard. Funeral Services for Ken will take place Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave. Paw Paw, MI with Pastor Jim C. Robertson to officiate. Family request those that attend please dress casual. Interment to follow in Wildey Cemetery. Visitation will take place Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 2:00 8:00 PM and Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of services from Adams Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider Ken's children, C/O Brandy Goodwin.
