Kenneth Floyd Bennett, PhD passed away on 9/12/2019 after a short illness in Moscow, Russia. He was born on May 3, 1934 in Bay City, MI to Kenneth A. Bennett and Margaret DeGrace Bennett. He is survived by his beloved wife Elvira G. Bennett, his three children Trent (Christina), Timothy and Tammi Bennett and step daughter Anastasia Alexandrov. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Zachary Bennett, Emmalee Bennett and Dylan Bennett and one great granddaughter. His sister Barbara Akers predeceased him and he is survived by his two remaining siblings James Bennett (Bonnie)of Port Charlotte, FL and JoAnne Smith (Bruce) of Goodyear, AZ. He also leaves eight nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. Dr. Bennett earned numerous degrees from Alma College, Central Michigan University, and the University of Michigan. He also served in the US Navy for four years and was a proud member of Masonic Lodge #22 in Kalamazoo. He spent his retirement between his two homes in Barcelona, Spain and Moscow, Russia. He loved reading, learning and traveling. He had countless friendships with friends across the world. He dedicated his life to teaching and sharing knowledge with thousands of students during his 32 years at Kalamazoo Community College. Kenneth F. Bennett will be interred in New River Cemetery located in Port Austin next to his first loving wife Bonnie Lou Paison Bennett who predeceased him in 1999. His funeral service was held at the St.Andrew's Anglican Church in Moscow on 9/23/2019 where he was honored by many people who knew and loved him.
