Kay Knotts

Knotts, Kay 6/27/1946 - 2/2/2021 Kalamazoo KNOTTS, KAY F, 6/27/1946 – 2/2/2021, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away on 2-Feb-2021 in Bradenton, FL. Kay was born on 27-June-1946 to Elmo and Rose (Milan) Siel in Kalamazoo, MI, graduating from Loy Norrix High School in 1964. In 1965, she met Ronald Knotts, and they wed in July of 1967, going on to have 2 children, Michelle (Mike) Leeson and Ronald (special friend Jessica) Knotts II. Kay spent her time dabbling in a variety of creative projects such as painting, colored pencil and crayon renderings, cooking, landscaping and she had a special eye for interior design. This talent served her in retirement as she frequently decorated the clubhouse for holiday's and activities taking place in their winter residence in Bradenton, FL. Kay enjoyed annual summer trips to northern Michigan to visit Traverse City for a little gambling and shopping. Although Kay wasn't a very athletic person shopping was her cardio, there were times she could turn a 3-day trip to Chicago into a marathon going for 10 straight hours every single day. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Al & Rose and her brother Howard. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Ron; children Micky (Mike) Leeson, Ron (special friend Jessica); grandchildren Taylor (Anthony) Beitler, Tyler Knotts and great-grandchild Owen Beitler. She is also survived by many cousins including Linda Yenner, who is was more like a sister than a cousin. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned as per Kay's wishes.
