Age 72, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020, with family at her side. Kay was born in Detroit, MI, on October 9, 1948, the daughter of the late John and Marcella Jean (Pence) Christopher. On October 30, 1970, she married Thomas Dymond who survives. Kay believed in the Lord and her character was formed by Christian values. She was selfless, giving, and compassionate. She was always willing to lend a listening ear and a guiding word to those who were in need. She was truly passionate about helping others through difficult times. She used this gift and passion to form a career in counseling. She and Tom were the founders of Morning Star Counseling Services. Prior to their work there, she was a child guidance counselor for 10 years. She was a long-time member of Calvary Bible Church. When not working, Kay enjoyed spending days at the beach in South Haven and made many fond memories with her family there. She was also very artistic and enjoyed painting, a gift she shared with her children and grandchildren. Above all, Kay loved her family and friends, and she leaves them with the memories of a life well lived. She taught her family the value of a life lived for Christ and her example has made a lasting impact into the people they are today. Truly everything that she touched she flavored with love. She will be missed! Besides her husband, Tom, Kay is survived by her children, Kristina Marie (Rob) Dymond-Jacox and Nathan (Denise) Dymond; grandchildren, Lauren and Addison Jacox, Trenton Dymond, Leigh Anna, Paige and Nick Wester; brother, James (Kathy) Christopher; niece and nephew, Jennifer (Kevin) Mlutkowski and James (Lynne) Christopher; many other family and friends. A private gathering with family and friends to commemorate Kay's life and faith will be held. Interment at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Morning Star Counseling Services, c/o the funeral home. Family and friends may share a condolence message online at www.joldersma-klein.com.
