Katherine Louise Kennedy of Traverse City, MI died suddenly at home February 26, 2018 at the age of 90. She was a long time resident and cherry farmer on the Old Mission Peninsula.

Preceded in death by two children, Deborah Francis Kennedy and Francis Vincent Kennedy, leaving a son Frank Bennett. She had eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Louise was the only surviving child of Albert R. Lardie and Helen B. Montague. Being raised on the Old Mission Peninsula she attended Stoney Beach School at the entrance to Montague Road, She later graduated from St. Francis High School in 1947. She married Melvin Bennett having one son and later remarried Francis V. Kennedy Jr. having a daughter and son. As an Air Force wife she lived in Palm Springs, CA, FL, and Anchorage, AK. Moving back to Traverse City for her last childs birth. She worked for R L Polk, and later working 35 year for Michigan Bell, Southern Bell, and AT&T as a sales specialist.

Her favorite past times were traveling, ocean cruises to other lands, country western and belly dancing, and driving her grandchildren around in her convertible. She will be missed by family and friends - now driving a convertible in heaven with God in her passenger seat.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Life Story Funeral Home new location at 400 W. Hammond Rd. Traverse City, near Garfield Rd. The family will greet friends starting at 11:00 am. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
