Kassandra Michelle (Bolhuis) Chaney

Kassandra (Bolhuis) Chaney age 38, of Pavillion Township, went to meet her wondrous Lord on July 17, 2017. Kassandra passed from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A celebration of Kassandra’s life will take place on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Vicksburg, MI, with Pastor David Downs officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11, with services immediately following at 11-12. A meal will be provided after for anyone who wishes to attend and fellowship with the family and friends.

Kassandra was born in Sterling, IL. On April 8, 1979. She spent most of her life residing in the Scotts area. She attended Climax-Scotts schools her entire school career and graduated from there in 1997.

Kassandra attended college in Wisconsin. She moved to Vicksburg as an adult and enjoyed her time spent at the Indian Lake Nazarene Campgrounds there.

Kassandra had a strong believe in her Lord and was a welcome sight when she joined during the service to play her flute or sing with the choir. Her testimony was in her face as she played so beautifully. Her love was music and she has inspired her children to continue to develop their musical talents.

Kassandra loved to do plastic canvas stitching and was very creative when putting her artistic talent to work for any special occasion.

Kassandra is survived by, first and foremost, her children Rebbekca, 16, Kailee,13, and Ethan, 11. Also surviving are her parents, Ricky and Deborah Chaney of Scotts, MI and many cousins, aunts, and uncles, Kassandra was proceeded in death by her grandparents, Evelyn and Ora Chaney Jr of Climax, MI, and Raymond and Sylvia Bright of Lyndon, ILL.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11am at Chapman Church of the Nazarene. The family will greet friends and family one hour prior to the service at the church starting at 10am.
