Karen Hoppel

Age 75, passed away November 15, 2018. Karen was born on January 4, 1943 in South Haven, the daughter of Vernon and Virginia (Jones) Holmes. Karen worked at Western Michigan University for many years. She married John Hoppel on February 4, 1989. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling to the beach, playing pool and riding on the back of motorcycles. She is survived by her children, Pam, Andrea, Michelle and Greg; grandchildren, Chris, Ashley, Elisha, Joshua, Brittany, Jeremy, Robert, Greg, Keesha, Jacob and Wesley; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bev; a brother Jeff and his wife, Sam. She was preceded in death her parents; her husband; 2 brothers, Vernon and Marvin; a sister, Virginia; and a grandchild, Vincent. A service commemorating Karen's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home.
