Junior Bridges

Junior "Eddy" Bridges, age 89, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on September 7, 2018 at his son's residence in Columbia, TN. He was a member of Zion Luthern Church and retired from General Motors as a dye maker. He was a boxing coach for KBA from 1968 to 1981 and took several champions to international fights and trained several Golden Gloves Champions. Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by parents, John and Mildred Hodge Bridges; and brothers, Bill and Vodra Bridges. Survived by wife of 37 years, Margo Bridges of Kalamazoo, MI; children, Linda (Dave) Staten of Columbus, OH, Danny (Fely) Bridges of Battle Creek, MI and Edward (Valerie) Bridges of Columbia, TN; siblings, Zola Rogers, of Michigan, Lindel (Pat) Bridges of Michigan, Tom (Shirley) Bridges of Mississippi and Joyce Hill of Arkansas; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Zion Luthern Church, 2122 Bronson Blvd., Kalamazoo, MI with luncheon to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA.
