June was united in marriage to Gordon Bailey on July 31, 1941, who preceded her in death on December 26, 1999. She was a lifelong resident of Scotts. She graduated from Scotts High School in 1938. James Dyke always referred to June as the "Queen of Scotts." June is survived by her children, Marilyn (Larry) Bontrager, Jo Ann Simms, and Jerry (Roberta) Bailey; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Terry Bailey; and special friends Mark and Bonnie Hanson. She was preceded in death by sons, Robert and Roger Bailey; grand-sons, Brian Bailey and Ricky Simms; siblings, Clayton Carney and Marion Moerman. The family will greet friends on Monday, November 20th from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 East Maple St., where a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 21st at 1:00pm.
