June A. Pomaville

June A. Pomaville, age 77, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at her residence. June was born in Algoma, WI, September 22, 1939, daughter of the late Gilbert and Dorothy (Nee: Nelson) Schmidt.

On April 23, 1960 she was united in marriage to Michael R. Pomavile who preceded her in death, December 21, 1986. She was employed as a Registered Nurse by St. Mary’s Hospital for twenty-three years working in the emergency room, respiratory therapy, and the neurological clinic, retiring in 2002. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church. June enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping, and playing cards with St. Lucy’s card group. More than anything she treasured time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Leann Pomaville of Racine, Mark (Lynn) Pomaville of Dousman; her seven grandchildren, Claire, Teresa, Michael, Melissa, Gina, Conner, and Kiera; sister, Susan (Robert) Urbush of Waterford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 26, 2017, 3:00 P.M. at Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church, 625 College Avenue, Racine, WI 53403.
