Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 23, 2018, surrounded by loved ones at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Julie was born on October 9, 1964 in Three Rivers, Michigan, the daughter of Lester and Thelma (Riggs) Beeman who survive her. Julie grew up in Hartford, Michigan graduating from Grace Christian School in Watervliet, Michigan. She continued her education at Grand Rapids Baptist College, while earning her degree at Western Michigan University. She worked as an accountant, acquiring her CPA with Jackie Mcgehee (Kalamazoo), spending many years at Sahr Building Supply (Kalamazoo) and most recently making use of her skills at Keeler Glasgow. Julie was an avid reader who continued to grow her library until her last days. She also enjoyed Southern Gospel music, traveling many miles to attend concerts. She was a loyal sports fan for local, professional and college teams (Go Blue!). Julie served the Lord in various ways at Hartford Federated Church as a longtime member including as a treasure, choir member and director, nursery worker, facilitator of a book club, as well as serving on numerous committees. Most recently, she was a faithful member at First Church of God in St. Joseph, Michigan where she was blessed to have made many friends. Her goal was to finish well and with God's strength she did just that. Along with her parents, Julie is survived by her sister, Janet (Andrew) Lawrence of South Haven, Michigan, her brother, John (Kathleen) Beeman of Kalamazoo, Michigan and her nieces Paula Lawrence and Patricia (Zach Bartel, fianc) Lawrence of Grand Rapids, Michigan, an Uncle Rex, aunts, several cousins and her best friend, Cindy Nyhuis of Hartford. Julie will be interred in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hartford with a graveside service at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, March 28th with Rev. Bob Confer officiating. A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, April 13th at the First Church of God in St. Joseph with Rev. David Culp officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, Missionary Ed Weber (Thailand) from Hartford Federated Church, or to First Church of God Mission's project.
