Life Story / Obituary
Julie Anne Voigt, age 70, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Parkside Manor. Julie was born in Racine, January 18, 1947, daughter of Ralph and Dorie (Nee: Williamson) Voigt.
Julie graduated from Peacham Academy, Peacham, Vermont in 1965. She then attended the former Webber College now known as Webber International University in Babson Park, FL and graduated in 1967. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, and traveling, but most of all she cherished time spent with her family.
She will be dearly missed by her children, John (Paula) King, Sarah Anne King, all of Racine; her grandchildren, Dr. Ben King (Dr. Vindya Jeyaretnam) and John King Jr., all of Racine; her mother, Dorie Voigt of Tucson, AZ; sisters and twin brother, Helene (Bernard) Bartlett of Nantucket Island, MA, John (Anna) Voigt of Gig Harbor, WA, Mary Voigt of Tacoma, WA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Assn have been suggested.
The family extends a special thank you to longtime friend, Mary Kitchen and the staff at Parkside Manor for their loving and compassionate care.
