Joyce Chodos

2/5/1931 - 12/17/2018 Howell, Michigan Her Legacy, Joyce Chodos, age 87, passed away, December 17, 2018. Joyce was born February 5, 1931 in Helena, MT, to Floyd and Ruth (Leidle) Smith. She married Dale Chodos September 9, 1951 in Helena, MT. Joyce loved to travel and was an avid reader. Joyce volunteered many years for the March of Dimes and was also a member, long term treasurer and active volunteer for Alcoholics Anonymous; she was very proud of maintaining 29 years of sobriety. Her greatest joy was her family and she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her FamilyJoyce is survived by her children; John (Renee) Chodos, Julie (Peter) Chodos Drea, David (Janet) Chodos and Jennifer (Rick) Thie; grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, Michael, William, Matthew, Benjamin, Jenna and Colin; great grandchildren, Lucas and Max; sister in law, Maria; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Dale in 2005, her parents, and brother, Jack. Her Farewell, Joyce's family and friends will gather on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00PM for graveside services at Central Cemetery in Portage, MI.
