Josephine Scanlan-Sweitzer

Josephine Patricia Scanlan-Sweitzer of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the age of 85. Josephine was born in Chester, England on December 7, 1932, the daughter of the late John Christopher Scanlan and Mary (Fitzgerald) Scanlan. She was of the Catholic faith. She loved to spend time with her children, was very creative and enjoyed baking. She was married to Jack Watson Sweitzer in February of 1962; he preceded her in death on March 22, 2012. She is survived by her children, John Sweitzer, Jack Sweitzer and Limra Sweitzer; three grandchildren, Shaethla, Michael Jr. and Ava; two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Yorkville Cemetery in Ross Township, with Rev. Fr. to officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Langeland Family Funeral Home.
