Joseph Stevenson

Passed away Tuesday morning February 20, 2018, at home. Joseph was born on July 14, 1960, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Mittie Louise Stevenson and Archie Fultz. On September 27, 2003 Joseph was united in marriage to Tena Eagle and lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Tena; one daughter, Aaliyah; his son, Jace; five stepchildren; Myriah, Katie, Marcus, Danielle and P.J.; two brothers, Kevin Stevenson of Mishawaka, IN. and Rodney (Carol) Stevenson of Fort Wayne, IN. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, Mittie Louise Stevenson, father Archie Fultz and sister Carolyn Renee Fultz of South Bend and Marion, IN. Joseph worked as a supervisor at Benteler Automotive in Kalamazoo for 22 years; and prior at Miles Labatories in Elkhart, IN for several years. Joseph graduated from Clay High School in South Bend, IN in 1978 and was a star basketball player. He also attended ITT Technical Institute. Services will be held 1 o'clock Monday, February 26th at the Kalamazoo Missionary Church, 5045 East Michigan Avenue. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday, February 25th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Private Interment will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Fresenius Kidney Center.
