Johnnie Phelps

Johnnie William Phelps Sr, age 76, of Cape Coral, FL formally of Portage, MI passed away on October 15, 2017 at Hospice House, Cape Coral, FL. He was born October 19, 1940 in Nashville, TN He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Rhoda Phelps, Son, Johnnie Phelps, Jr., grandsons John Richard Phelps and Jacob Phelps, son in law Don Cushine, sisters Mary Blair, Christine Dunn and Louise Wilkins. He is survived by his sister Jean Phelps and loving children Cindy (Roy) Weber, Evvie (Don) Cushine, Jerry (Julie) Phelps and Richard (Shelley) Phelps. He has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Johnnie worked for Penn Central, NY Central, Conrail and finished his career with Amtrak. Johnnie loved trains and the people that he met working as a conductor. Johnnie loved watching hockey, playing golf and going to the casinos.
