John Rooney

John F. Rooney, age 89, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away May 30, 2017. John was born May 19, 1928 in Kalamazoo, the son of Emmett and Helen (Wall) Rooney. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School and was a member of the Michigan, Florida, and Illinois Bar Associations. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He had residences in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Key West, Florida. John was preceded in death by brothers James and Robert (Brud). He is survived by cousin Mary Rooney and eleven nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 2, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Cathedral of Saint Augustine, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Augustine Church.
