BARSZCZ, JOHN H. Mr. John H. Barszcz, aged 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, May 16, 2013. He is survived by his sisters, Bonnie Nelson, Connie (John) Sobotta; sons, Michael and Joel; three grandchildren; one great granddaughter. John retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service and also retired from General Motors. A funeral service with military honors will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 21 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:30 to 2:00 PM. Per his request, cremation will follow.
