Joanne Moon

Age 88, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Joanne was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 26, 1932, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Rzesniewieski) Keast. On May 5, 1951, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Moon, who preceded her in death on May 7, 1967. Joanne is survived by five children, Mark (Suanne), Michael (Pok Hui), Robert (Cindy) and Mathew (Kay) Moon and Melodie Webber; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include her brother, Jerry Keast; sisters, Joyce Pountain and Jerolyn Slayton and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Joanne was preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Boland; son in-law, William Webber; granddaughter, Casey Boland; brother, Jim Keast and brother in-law, Wayne Pountain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001, on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM, Msgr. Michael Hazard and Fr. Antony Rajesh, celebrants. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Please wear a face mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
