Went to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the age of 85, with his loving family by his side. Jimmie was born in Marion, IL on November 12, 1931, the son of the late Arch Staudacher and Ethel (Allen) Staudacher. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors, working for the Fisher Body Plant for many years as a Tool & Die Maker. He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church. He was an excellent high school basketball player. He also enjoyed golf and played in a General Motors League with his good friend Al Dorko, who preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by one sister, Roberta McRoy and one brother, William Staudacher; and his daughter-in-law, Janice Elizabeth Staudacher. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Yvonne (DeGood) Staudacher; two sons, Jeff Staudacher and Gregory Staudacher; two grandchildren, Meg Staudacher and Nick Staudacher; and Janice's children, Patrick Tristen and Heather Jessup. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009, with the funeral to follow at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Southern Care Hospice, 1911 West Centre St., Portage, MI 49024.
