Jerry Taylor

Gerald passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at his home in Otsego. He was born April 25, 1955 in Plainwell the son of Floyd and Beverly (Gillette) Taylor. Jerry grew up on Gun Lake where he enjoyed fishing and boating. He moved to Idaho in the mid 90's and returned to Michigan in 2011. He had also spent time in Alaska, Washington and Montana logging. Jerry was happiest when he was on his motorcycle and hunting with his dogs. He enjoyed traveling to many bike rallies and drinking with his buddies. Jerry was known for his stories and enjoyed razzing others with his quick wit. Surviving are his daughter, Dana (Cody) VanSparrentak; grandchildren, Devon, Olivia, Ebon and Camdon; his mother; sister, Merrilee (Darrell) Slawson; brother, Craig Taylor; niece, Stephanie (Jacob) Wrisley and nephews, Stephan (Mirella) Slawson and Joshua Turcott. He was preceded in death by his father in 1999 and son, Jeremy in 2002. Friends may visit with Jerry's family from 5-7 P.M., Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego.
