Jeffrey Green

Jeffrey G. Green, age 60, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away at his home on Friday, January 26, 2018 due to complications related to chronic health conditions. Jeff was born on May 28, 1957 to George and Sharon Green in Kalamazoo. He graduated from Loy Norrix High School in 1975 and attended Western Michigan University. On May 9, 1980, he married Cindy Miller. Jeff worked for 20 years at Port City Paints. He loved his family, any pet who needed a home, and baseball. He played softball for many years as well as Strat-O-Matic Baseball. Walking, bicycling, and eating out at restaurants were his favorite past times. He was often seen on the Kal-River Trail. Jeff maintained a positive attitude throughout his life despite the many health challenges he faced; including Type I diabetes and cancer. Jeff is survived by his wife, Cindy; two daughters, Nicole (Ypsilanti) and Kaiti (Baltimore, MD); siblings Rick Green and Lori (Tom) Ramsdell; and a number of brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon in 1995 and father, George in 2008. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Saturday, February 3rd at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m, Friday at the chapel.
