Life Story / Obituary
Jeffrey C. DaPra, age 59, passed away on Sunday October 29, 2017 following a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Jeffrey was born in Wakefield, MI on July 23, 1958, son of Arthur and Carol (nee: Longhini) DaPra.
Jeff graduated from St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1976”. Following graduation, Jeff relocated to Ironwood, MI where he was employed with Auto Glass Specialists for twenty seven years. He was last employed for eight years with The Glades Golf and Country Club in Naples, FL. Jeff was a loving father, son, brother and uncle and dear friend to many.
Jeff will be dearly missed by his two sons, Erik (Heidi) DaPra of Naples, FL, Travis DaPra (Megan Crowley) of Fond Du Lac; mother, Carol DaPra; siblings, Greg (Monica) DaPra, Susan (John) Cantele, Pat (Judy) DaPra, Steve (Michelle) DaPra; many dear nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Arthur DaPra.
Memorial services will be held at Maresh-Meredith and Acklam Funeral Home on Friday November 3, 2017, 6:00 p.m., with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. Memorials to St. Catherine’s High School or the Special Olympics (specialolympics.org) have been suggested.
The family extends a special thank you to The Glades Golf and Country Club, Heartland Hospice and brother Pat and family for inviting Jeff into their home in his time of need.
