Jeanne O'Mara

Jeanne Louise (Hayden) O'Mara of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the age of 57. Jeanne was born in Kalamazoo on February 11, 1960. She was previously employed as an Administrative Assistant with Western Michigan University. She loved Greyhounds and supported the Allies for Greyhounds Adoption Group. Jeanne is survived by her father, William (Dolores) Hayden and mother, Cleo Hayden; sisters and brothers, Elizabeth (David) Bourg, Susan (John) Newcomb, Julie (Jeff) Durham, Carrie (Tom) Skelton, Mary (Jim) Bennison, John Foster, Dan Foster, Molly (Candy Anderson) Foster and Abner Foster; many nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Amy Capelli (and her greyhound, Groucho), Tammy Timmons and Jena Gaines. Jeanne's life was enriched by her beloved greyhounds, Alex, Topaz, Chase and Ivy. A celebration of Jeanne's life will be held from 1 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Allies for Greyhounds, P.O. Box 63, Grandville, MI 49468-0063.
