Jeanne McCaw

Jeanne Louise McCaw died October 28, 2025 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was a United Methodist pastor's wife and was always involved in church women's groups, faithfully supported her husband, and often served as church secretary. She was a devoted mother who championed her children's causes. She earned a Master's Degree in Education and taught at both Davenport University and Nazareth University. She also worked at Consumers Energy for many years.

Jeanne is survived by her daughters Mara (Carl) Marsman, Kristin (Owen) Motter; sisters Janet Fox, Jacquelynn (Dan) VanderLugt; brothers Stephen (Barbara) Smith, James Smith; brother-in-law Lewis (MaryBeth) McCaw; grandchildren Eric (Jennifer) Marsman, Paul (Lisa) Marsman, Ashley (Heather Janis) Motter, Jacob (Krysti) Motter, Riley (Kodie) Motter; great-grandchildren Emma (Brenden) Nyhof, Hailey Marsman, Leigha Marsman, Marci Marsman, Victoria Marsman, Fiona Marsman, Gabriel Marsman, Liam Motter, Olivia Motter, Nathan Motter, Millie Motter; and great-great-grandchildren Kinslee Nyhof, River Nyhof.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Kenneth Dean McCaw; mother Helen (Jack) Feenstra; father Duane Smith; brother-in-law Russell Fox.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 31, 2025, 11 am at Thornapple Evangelical Covenant Church, 6595 Cascade Rd., SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Clark Retirement Benevolent Fund or Thornapple Evangelical Covenant Church, Grand Rapids.
