Jeanette Burns

Jeanette Burns, age 75, of Stayton, OR and Lyons, OR died Tuesday, May 30 in Stayton. She was born in Plainwell, MI, moving to Portland, OR in 1969 and to Lyons, OR 6 years ago. Jeanette married David Burns on July 26, 1974 in Portland, OR. She taught business in high school as well as teaching in special education. Jeanette attended Foothills Church in Stayton, OR and Mehama Community Church in Mehama, OR. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, embroidery, jigsaw puzzles, being outdoors, gardening and she was devoted to raising her children and caring for her husband. Jeanette is survived by husband: David of Lyons, OR; sons: Tim Burns of Hammond, IN and Jason (Janci) Burns of Stayton, OR|; brother: Alfred Madden of Galesburg, MI; grandchildren: Grant, Lydia, Riley and Tessa. Memorial service will be Friday, June 9, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Foothills Church in Stayton, OR. Private interment will be in Fox Valley Cemetery, Lyons, OR.
