Jay "Brad" B. Hemenway, age 63, of Decatur, MI passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his family. Brad was born on September 7, 1953, to Jay & Rose "Marie" (Szymonski) Hemenway in Paw Paw. He graduated from Decatur High School. Brad enjoyed going to auctions and traveling to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family on his farm. Brad is survived by his wife Sue of Decatur; mother Marie of Decatur; children, Dan (Angela) Hemenway of Lawton, Doug (Erin) Hemenway of Paw Paw, Erin (Matt) Riggs of Porter Township and Marcie (Patrick) Carlsen of Decatur; grandchildren, Jack, Lexi, Claire, Lucas, Jace, Ana, Cecily and James; and sister, Jeanie (Charlie) Cady of Decatur and Brenda (Ed) Hollenbeck of Cassopolis. Brad was preceded in death by his father Jay. A Sunrise Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 7:30 AM at Hamilton Cemetery, with Pastor Jim Abshagen officiating.
