James Sootsman, Jr.

James Sootsman, Jr (JJ), age 29, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away suddenly on February 4, 2018. James went to St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Portage Central High School. He loved the outdoors. He was very skilled at many things and enjoyed learning new trades. James was a great husband and father, who loved hard and was loved by many. He is survived by his wife Jessica and 2 children Daimien and Meeka. His parents Jim and Kathy Sootsman, sisters Sarah Smith, Sharon Sootsman, his Father-in-law Scott Pachuta, his Mother-in-law Tammie Pachuta, a sister-in-law Devin Pachuta & Darek Dingman and brother-in-law Brandin (Melanie) Pachuta, A niece Isabella and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. James is preceded in death by his grandparents, Al and Joan Roodbergen, Ed and Patricia Sootsman along with Jerry Sootsman and his cousin Jessica Keeler. A visitation will be held Sunday February 11, 2018 from 6-8 p.m at Redmond Funeral Home with a 7:30 Rosary. A Funeral Mass will take place Monday February 12, 2018 at 2 p.m from the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
