James Metzger

METZGER (Sparta) - Mr. James L. Metzger, age 66, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2009. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. James was the owner of Metzger Processing Service, and worked as a court officer for 61st District Court. He was a member of the AMVET, DAV, and Glenn Hill Post in Cedar Springs. James is survived by his wife, Debbie; children, Debra (Pat) Kennedy, Denise Metzger, Michael Metzger, Tina Metzger, Tracey (John) Wilson, Richard (Beth Ann) Caudill, Robert (Rochelle) Caudill; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Johnson, Darlene Price, Rosie (Chuck) Newton; nieces and nephews. His parents, Darwin and Nancy Metzger and his brothers, Darwin and Kenneth preceded him in death. The service with military honors for James will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Pederson Funeral Home. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Needs of the Family.
