Jackie Geren

age 86 of Kalamazoo died on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. She was born on August 28, 1930 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Kenneth and Martha (Yates) Bright and has lived her entire life in the Kalamazoo area. On March 29. 1949 she married Alfred “Jack Geren and together they shared 56 years of marriage until his death in 2005. Jackie was supportive in her children’s endeavors and truly enjoyed being a home maker and a wife. Surviving members of her family include her 4 children: Ken, Joe, Mike (Deb), and Dave Geren, 4 grandchildren: Shawn and Benn Geren, Ann (John) Medic and Ryan Belonga, 2 great grandchildren: Tyler and Ally Whitmire. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her son Dan and a sister Jan Sullivan. Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 13 at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
