Jack Sears

Jack Sears of Schoolcraft, MI, age 61, passed 5/31/2017. Cause of death is still unknown. Jack, born 8/09/1955 was raised and schooled in Portage, MI. He loved all outdoor activities including fishing, camping, swimming, hunting, gardening, sports, grilling. He also was the key in mechanics and building. He was the 'Jack' of all trades for sure. As the son of Jack & Betty Sears, he was a proud father of 3 children: Eric Sears (passed in 2001,) Katrina Sears (36), Nathan (Katie) Sears (30), granddaughter Natalie, and beloved dog Welker. Jack also has 3 siblings: Judy (Dave) Truman, Bruce (Lesa) Sears, and Bryan (Lisa) Sears. Service will be held 6/24 from 1-6pm at Central Park in Portage behind the Police Station. Jack had a sense of humor like no other, taught his children activities to build on also making them tough. He would lend a hand to help others. Even giving food to families around the holidays. Jack donated tissues to The Gift of Life to help other individuals.
