Jack Edgar Oberlin, age 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 19, 2020. He was born on November 13, 1933 in Greenville, MI, the son of Edgar and Mary (Rummel) Oberlin. Jack graduated from Belding High School in 1952. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1956 - 1958 as a senior launcher crewman in the Guided Missile Battalion. On September 29, 1956 he married Nancy K. Evans in Belding. Jack worked at The Upjohn Co. for 29 years, retiring in 1994. He loved fishing, hunting, and music. He enjoyed playing the tuba in high school and singing with a couple of musical groups and church choirs. He served the Lord at Bethel Baptist Church, Berean Baptist Church, and Good News Baptist Church. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling and wintered in Florida for several years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nancy, of 63 years; children, Lori (David) Osborn (MI), Paul (Jianping) Oberlin (FL), Bethanne (Dale) Salisbury (TN); grandchildren, Lorraine (Billy) Hirt, Joanne (Emmanuel) Osei Antwi, Aaron (Ashley) Osborn, Megan Oberlin, Nuona Li; 10 great grandchildren; and his sister, Sally Sayers of Georgia. Private family services will be held. Interment in Oakfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Good News Baptist Church or Bibles International.
