Jack Davis

Jack L. Davis of Shiloh, IL, age 78, formerly of Kalamazoo, MI, died at 3:38 a.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1939 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of the late Lloyd and Geneva Mae (Hook) Davis. He married Judith A. Davis (Hale) November 20, 1959. She survives. He is survived by two children: Jeffrey (Dianna) Davis of Shiloh, IL and Jill Kahle of Costa Rica; and two grandchildren: Sean (Kelsey) Davis of Columbia, IL and Stephen Davis of Shiloh, IL. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Davis, and brothers-in-law, Tom and Ken Hale. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Mike and Arlene Hale and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Davis was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service, and a proud member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Otsego, MI Elks Lodge. Jack considered everyone he met a friend. The family would like to express their thanks to Care Link, Hospice of Southern Illinois and to John Cochran VA Hospital for their care and compassion. No services will be held.
