J. Cruz Muñoz Duran, age 58, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Froedtert Lutheran Memorial Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. He was born in Duarte, Leon Guanajuato, Mexico, September 22, 1958, son of the late J. Cruz and Catalina (Nee: Duran) Muñoz Palomares.

On October 22, 1977 in Waukegan he was united in marriage to Patsy “Jeannie” Rodriguez. He was currently employed with B-Way Corporation and previously with Belle City Malleable for twenty-five years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Mechanically inclined, Cruz helped many friends and neighbors maintain their vehicles. More than anything he was devoted to and loved his family.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Jeannie; his children, Manuel (Dawn) Martinez, J. Cruz Muñoz Jr. (fiancée, Krista Straka), Yesenia (Miguel Maldonado) Muñoz; his four grandchildren, Arianna, Manuel Jr. and Sophia Martinez, Miguel Angel Maldonado Jr.; brothers and sisters, Ruperto (Belen) Muñoz, Miguel (Maria) Muñoz, Carmela (Fidencio) Anguiano, Apolinar (Silvia) Muñoz, Porfirio (Estela) Muñoz, Jesus (Rosario) Muñoz, Herlinda Muñoz, Ma. Isabel Muñoz; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Isabel (Reynaldo) Rangel, Maria Arebalo, Rose Tamayo, Olga (Kevin) Turner, Luis Rivera, Armando Rodriguez; special goddaughter, Jazmine Ramirez; special nieces, Magdeline Rodriguez, Noemi Lopez, Lillian Tamayo, Cecilia (Angel) Flores, Angelica Cardoso; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rosalio and Pedro, and mother-in-law, Petra Martinez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 25, 2017, 11:30 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1100 Erie Street. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church and Wednesday at the church from 10:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:30 A.M.
