Ivan Harry "Timer" Kibby, 72, of Allegan, MI passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Allegan County Medical Care Community. Born January 27, 1946 in Allegan, he was the son of the late Helen Gertrude (Jewett) Kibby and Ivan Fayette Kibby and was the husband of Kathleen Ann (Havaich) Kibby. Mr. Kibby graduated from Allegan High School in 1964 and served his country honorably in the United States Army. He then went to work for Rockwell International until their closure. Timer then attended Lansing Community College and became a truck driver. He was a member of the Allegan American Legion Post and attended At the Master's Feet Discipleship Ministry. Timer was an avid woodworker and master carpenter; he was especially proud of his birdfeeders. He also loved creating artwork on Post-it notes and even won first place at the Ottawa County Fair for his work. Timer was very mechanically inclined, he especially enjoyed working on cars and trucks. Going for a drive on Sunday, fishing, mowing grass and plowing snow on his Ingersoll tractor were among his favorite pastimes; however, his greatest joy came from taking his grandchildren for rides on his homemade dump trailer. In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Kibby is survived by his children, Ivan H. "Charlie" Kibby, II, Bud M. Kibby and fianc Suzanne Elasivich, Martin J. Billman and wife April, David A. Billman and wife Kimberly, Ronald J. Billman and John M. Billman; siblings, Sharon F. Kibby, Helen "Midge" Baron and husband Randy, Ronald A. Kibby, Bonneita "Bonnie" Morgan and husband Orrin and Dale A. Kibby and wife Cathy; ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter due to arrive in October; several nieces and nephews; and his very close friend, Glenn Noble. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Cathy (Funk) Kibby; and daughters, Catherine L. Wright and Paula J. Billman. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at At the Master's Feet Discipleship Ministry from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at which time a funeral service will begin. Burial will take place Friday at 10:30 AM at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, At the Master's Feet Discipleship Ministry, Hospice of Holland or Allegan County Medical Care Community. Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
