Aunt Irene was an excellent cook and no family gathering was complete without her famous "angel" eggs, sauerkraut and sausage, and chips and dip. She loved watching the many birds which visited her yard for a good meal. She was a talented oil and ceramic painter, greeting card designer and knitter. Irene and Chester traveled extensively including a special excursion to Israel and Egypt and several visits to Italy with her mother and sisters to visit family.
